Risk

Why is there risk assessments? The Risk assessment exists because it is important that you and others (potentially) are protected and insured. It is also important that you know how likely someone getting hurt or equipment getting damaged is. 

How do you fill out a risk assessment? Start by filling in the hazard reference which outlines what the risk actually is i.e. Trip or Slip, Explosion and Confined Spaces. Next, fill in the Hazard Description, which is basically a more in-depth description of the hazard. Make sure to underline the people that are at risk and fill out what control measures you can take to prevent these hazards from happening.



Shooting Log

TC stands for Timecode - which is when a take starts on the timeline. In take, label all the takes from one scene and circle which was the best take.

Sound is everything that can be heard in a scene. The key elements of sound are: Location sound Music Dialogue Sound Effects Types of Sound in Media Diegetic is sound that comes from a scene, whether it is off or on camera, it is still diegetic as it is made through the origin of the film world. Examples of diegetic sounds are talking, cars or vehicles and glass breaking/ gun fire. Non-Diegetic sounds are mainly music or soundtracks added during the film's post-production. Induction

Day One In the morning, I was introduced to the lecturers Justin, Luke, Tony and Sophia who told us about the course and what we'd be doing for the next 3 Terms. Afterwards, we where set a task to try and see who could find the most about our peers (whom most of us didn't know). During this activity I met Talitha, Sophie, Matt and other students who are on the course. Later, before lunch I did a treasure hunt around the college with Palina. This was a way to get us to understand the layout of the campus and find places that would be useful to us I.e the Library, the Shop and Marie’s office. This was really fun and competitive but also educational as I didn’t know much about the layout of the college. (Photo taken from the school's shop).
