Audience Demographics

  • Audience's can be categorised in demographics. It is based around a populations dynamic living. Demography incorporates size, structure and spatial or temporal changes in them in response to birth, migration, aging and death.
  • Groups can be defined by things such as education, nationality, religion, ethnicity. As well as:
  1. Age
  2. Class
  3. Gender
  4. Household size, homeowner
  5. Marital Status
  6. Occupation and Income
  • Disposable income is the type of income that remains after deduction of taxes and social security, available to spend or save depending on what one wishes to do with it.


  • Classes range between A & E, the way the classes are set is through the job that you have and the amount of money you earn. As well as this, a person can be born into a class depending on their parents' lifestyle.

 There are 25 fps in television  (video) in the UK. 2 x fields /sec (upper and lower fields) Lower can also be known as the Even, Upper can be known as Odd This is called 'Scanning of the Frame' Jaggies happen when you pause a video on a certain frame (happens because of the behaviour of the plain (interlaced) An extremely useful YouTube video by The Slow Mo Guys illustrates 'Scanning the Frame' as they use a phantom camera to record exactly what happens on a TV when slowed down significantly. i - interlaced, p - progressive 1080 (9) height, 1920 (16) width (frame, high definition) 16:9 aspect ratio 25 fps would be 50 fields per sec P.A.L (Phase Alternating Line)   We created 'bins' (like files) in Premier Pro, renamed and changed their colour's.
