Photoshop Poster - 19/09/2018
Report
My two ideas are constructed around the same characters and alternative universe. I'm trying to base a lot of my projects around DC or Marvel as I would like to work with Fantasy and Sci-Fi movies.
I feel that my choices of the "Titans" poster will attract my teenage target audience as teenagers enjoy Sci-Fi and Fantasy movies/ TV Shows. As well as this, I think that my target audience will be both male, female and others as the ganres of Titan's apply to both genders and their interests.
Examples of posters that relate and are similar to my posters:
(Secondary source, tailer by DC about the new Titans show).
My posters:
This is the poster with guidelines, I split the poster into two colums as there are two character's shown.
We used photoshop for the first time and where asked to make a poster about something of our choice. I decided to make a poster about the upcoming TV Show called 'Titans', created by DC.
It is based around Richard "Dick" Grayson meeting Jason Todd (his replacement).
I decided to do a second poster, a landscape one instead of portrait. This second poster was also not a movie poster this time, so it didn't have to have much text on it.
My second poster is based around DC Comics characters Batman, Nightwing and Robin. My graphic style here is a lot different to my first poster as they are advertising different types of media, for example, the Arkham City poster displays the comic characters instead of the TV series characters because I'm advertising the comics instead. As well as this, I believe that the target audience for the Arkham poster will be older, perhaps 20+, as the comics for Batman came out years ago and will interest those who remember them more/ prefer reading.
This poster is mainly aimed at female viewers as it's based around all the female DC hero's and villians.
Photo's used in my Posters:
All these images are secondary sources, taken from the internet. The images I used are all mainly dark in colour, this is because the genres for the TV Shows are action, drama, superhero and science fiction.
First Poster
This is all the photo's I used for the first poster. I edited them together and used the Magic Wand Tool to get rid of some of the backgrounds, but the larger images I had to use the Quick Select Tool.
Next, I added an inner shadow (you do this by double clicking on the layer you want to edit), I didn't know exactly what I was doing but the end result turned out better than I thought.
Second Poster
(From this batman lockdown logo, I only used the Arkham City title).
Here, I was adding tools to costomise the toolbar so that it was more suitable for what I needed/ might need to use.
